This 10-day 10-Night tour covers some of the greatest and most diverse scenery that Myanmar has to offer. The roads will be a mix of sealed and dirt but we will add some light off road into the rides too. We will go up into Shan villages, The hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin, Inle Lake, the pine forest city of Kalaw, the spiritual volcanic Mount Popa, the immense Mount Victoria in Chin State, Chin Villages, the incredible Bagan and back to the cultural heart of Myanmar, Mandalay.  We'll run this trip on the very reliable Honda CRF250L which is the perfect bike for Myanmar's varied riding conditions. The hotels are also a mix of posh, rustic and mid range depending on the location and what is available. Day 1, Nov 7th: Arrive and tour Mandalay

We will arrange your pickup at the airport, bus station or train station and to take you to the hotel to meet your bikes and have a quick day tour of Mandalay and the surrounding area. Over dinner we will go over the trip ahead and general driving precautions in Myanmar. Meal:(L/D)




Day 2, Nov 8th: Mandalay to Nawnghkio 180km

After breakfast at your hotel we head out of the congested city and up into the hills of Shan state. We will ride on a mix of sealed and dirt roads through rice fields and then up the mountains to Pyin Oo Lwin. Lunch will be in the hill station of Pyin Oo Lwin and we will ride Nawnghkio. Day 3, Nov 9th: Nawnghkio to Inle about 250km

Nawnghkio is the location of the famous Gokteik Viaduct so we will have a look at that in the morning and then go straight south on a newly improved road to Inle. This road goes through some spectacular scenery rarely seen by tourists.Meal:(B/L/D)








Day 4, Nov 10th: Inle to Kalaw <100km

A trip to Inle lake wouldn’t be complete without a tour on the lake so we will start the day with a boat tour of the lake's attractions. We will then take a back road through more remote villages to the hill station of Kalaw. We will stay in a quaint hotel in a heavily wooded area.Meal:(B/L/D)




Day 5, Nov 11th: Kalaw to Mount Popa <250km

After Breakfast at our hotel we begin our day to Mount Popa. We will quickly descend down winding roads until we are back to the lowlands of middle Myanmar. We will pass through the arid rolling hills and plains to get to Mt Popa in time to enjoy sunset from either our hotel or the volcanic mountain itself.Meal:(B/L/D)


Day 6, Nov 12th: Mt Popa to Bagan Tour 50km

We will have a very short ride from Mt Popa to Bagan to meet our local guide. We can either travel by motorcycle, van or horse cart depending on your preference. He will escort us around the multitude of ancient temples for the day until we retire to our hotel for the rest of the evening.Meal:(B/L/D)

Day 7, Nov 13th: Bagan to Kanpetlet 160km
After crossing the Ayeyarwaddy River we will cross more arid plains as we steadily climb towards Chin State. The roads are a mix of sealed, dirt and crumbling asphalt all the way to Saw. From Saw we cross into Chin State and climb to 1667 meters on sealed road. This area is quite cold in the wintertime and can reach freezing at night. We will stay in cottages in town and eat at the hotel.(B,L,D)


Day 8, Nov 14th: Kanpetlet to Mindat 70km
Today we ride the mountain road through Natma Taung National Park to Mindat. Along the road between Mindat and Kanpetlet we will make a detour to Mt Victoria. At over 3000 meters, Mt Victoria hosts a unique environment compared to the adjacent lowlands. There are many endemic flora and fauna in the area. After Mt Victoria we will continue on to Mindat with stops in Chin villages along the way. The road is all dirt today so we can take it slow.We stay at a very simple guesthouse for the night. Day 9, Nov 15th: Mindat to Monywa 250km
We will tour around Mindat in the morning and visit the local market before we descent down the mountains and into the plains for the last time. We will cross many dry riverbeds and rocky hills. We will take a slight detour to visit the religious sandstone cave site of Pohwindaung if we make good time. We'll put the bikes on a small ferry to cross the Chindwin River into Monywa.

Day 10, Nov 16th: Monywa to Mandalay 200km
We'll leave early from Monywa and get to the second largest Buddha statue of Laykyun Sekkya. This religious site was completed in 2008 and is 381ft tall. We will then ride to Sagaing on the western banks of the Ayeyarwaddy river on some dirt and sealed roads. We will cross the Ayeyarwaddy and then see the longest teak bridge in the world just south of Mandalay. We will make it back to Mandalay before sunset and have farewell dinner at a BBQ restaurant.

Day 11 Nov 17th. Mandalay to ?
We will meet you in the morning to help you make it to your train/bus/plane to get out of Mandalay or just say goodbye as you continue your travels on your own. Meal:(B)
