Get ready for our first tour that covers 2 countries on the super reliable Honda CRF 250L. We have teamed up with our friends at Enduro Tours Thailand to help offer a an affordable, one of a kind enduro tour thru the best bits of road that Southeast Asia has to offer. Over 2000km of mixed terrain will keep us entertained for the duration of this amazing adventure.
Day 1. Mandalay to Pindaya 180-200km
We will start our tour with about 80km sealed roads until we start to ascend into the Shan plateau. The next 100 or so on will be a mix of sealed and village dirt roads up to Danu town of Pindaya.
Day 2. Pindaya to inle lake( afternoon boat tour) 75-85km
We'll have a quick morning tour of the famous Buddha filled Pindaya caves and then ride more village trails to Inle lake. After dropping the bikes at the hotel we will have an afternoon tour on the lake in a chartered boat.
Day 3. Inle lake to Naypyitaw 250km
After leaving the hotel we'll ride on the Western edge of the lake south thru stunning scenery on a network of small village roads. We will join the amazingly curvy,and sealed, Pinlaung-Tatkon road for about 100km. The roads will wider and wider until we are on the ridiculously wide,20lane, boulevard in front of Myanmars parliament building in Naypyitaw.
Day 4. Naypyitaw is a massive city with numerous huge, albeit empty, hotels that makes a great place for a rest day. Hang out by the pool, cruise around the, (mostly) empty streets, or check out the gem museum.
Day 5. Npt to taungoo. 150-175km
Taungoo is just about 100km from Naypyitaw along the main road but we will take more scenic route zigzagging across the sittaung river on ferries and temporary wooden bridges while working our way south.
Day 6. Taungoo to Golden rock
We continue to follow the Sittaung River south along dirt roads today. We will cross into Mon State and some great single track thru rubber plantations and jungle before we get into Kinpun by evening.
Day 7. Golden rock to Hpa-An 140km
In the morning we will ride a truck, or the newly completed cable car, up to the top of Kyaiktiyo to see the famous golden rock and all its religious pilgrims. Afterwards weĺl work our way directly south to Hpa-an on the Thanlwin River.
Day 8. Hpa an to Myawaddy (cross into Thai) 150km
On our last day in Myanmar we'll ride a mixture of sealed and crumbling roads thru Kayin state to the Thai border. We plan to cross the border around 3pm.
Day 9. Thai Day Off in Mae Sot.
After crossing the Thai border we all meet and greet with our new guide and bikes. The rest day we can set up the bikes and relax around the town at the great shopping if need be.
Day 10. Mae Sot to Mae Sariang 160km
After a well deserved rest we head off on our Thai Registered Honda CRF250L heading North on the 105 before entering Mae Moei Nation Park. We head North all day mostly on off-road trails towards Mae Ngao National Park towards Mae Sariang, it all join back on the 105 for 40km off black top to Mae Sariang.
Day 11. Mae Sariang Loop 150km
This quiet town is one of my favorite places to stay and ride. Our hotel rests next to the Yuam River with many river side restaurants and bars. This day can be either a rest day if some riders do not feel up to a 150km Loop. The riding is fantastic though the Salawin Nation Park towards the Thanlyin River bordering Burma where we have lunch over looking the river.
Day 12. Mae Sariang to Mae La Noi 150-200km
The rout we take today is long and one of my favorites covering mostly trails and dirt roads though Salawin National Park as we head to the fringe of the Burma border. After the half way point we head East towards Mae Khun Pa Wildlife Preserve passing a Thai Army Post with out any problems and trail in-out of stream crossings for about 10km and finally heading to the small town of Mae La Noi.
Day 13. Mae La Noi to Mae Chaem 150 km
Todays riding is relatively easy with open trails but there are single tracks if we choose. Mae Chaem is a small local town about 150km from Chaiang Mai, our Guest house has a great local feel to it and the owner of the property cooks our dinner and breakfast with plenty of beers in the fridge.
Day 14. Mae Chaem to Chiang Mai 120-150km
As we get closer to Chiang Mai the sight seeing attractions are close, we first visit Doi Inthanon View Point Tallest point in Thailand, King and Queens Pagods which has spectacular Views. The Wachirathan Waterfall is close by for visit also on our way back to Chiang Mai via either Trails or Black Top depending on how every body is feeling on the last day.

Thailand Bike Hire Conditions, Insurance and License Requirements
Each bike hire requires 1 Passport per bike or
Each bike requires a $400.00 to $1,000 AUD Cash Security Deposit given to the hire shop for any damages done while on tour. If no damage to the bike your refund will be returned.
Any further liability on bike damage due to road accidents Enduro Tours Thailand is thus ruled out.
World Nomads has great travel insurance and please check that any bike damage can be claimed with the policy. If any thing major occurs we will gather a police and medical report.
All riders must have a drivers/bike license and international drivers license from the country of residence. Your insurance policy will not be valid if you do not have the correct License
Enduro Tour Cancellations can be made in the following ways
Option 1: 90 days before the ride: you can change your tour dates subject to availability. We understand if personal problems arise. We shall retain your deposits to suit the new dates.
Option 2: 90 to 60 days before the tour start date, a 50% fee will apply to your deposits and returned to bank account less bank fees.
No refund given for cancellations of less than 60 days or ‘No shows’ for any of our tours.
