Each vehicle comes with a driver and has a minimum rental period of 5 days. The price includes gas and driver's expenses (food and lodging). Your limit is 250km per day times the number of days rented so if you rent for 5 days then you can drive a total of 1250km for your entire trip. If you are interested in a one-way trip then there is usually one added day to your trip to cover the driver's ride back to Mandalay but it depends on distance and road conditions.
If you want to drive to Chin State, Ngapali Beach, Northern Sagaing Division, Loikaw, or anywhere else the roads are particularly horrid, then you must hire a 4x4 vehicle.
